My 6 year search for the perfect grand piano ended the day I played the Steingraeber 138K upright.  Exquisite tone, fluid action and outstanding resonance were the first of many alluring qualities of this piano.  My eyes deceived me when I first played it.  Surely such a stunning, full-bodied sound couldn't be coming from a "mere" upright.  The richness of the bass notes simply dazzled my ears; and the high end was crystal clear, yet never piercing.  With this quality of sound I would have purchased an ugly piano, but no need.  The Steingraeber pianos are a feast for the eyes as much as for the ears.  The mahogany inlay of my ebony piano catches the attention of even my non-musician friends.  After owning my Steingraeber for some time now I could never purchase another piano . . . unless of course, it's a Steingraeber grand.

I did research for months and visited many piano stores throughout Southern California.  I also did research on the Internet and was curious about the excellent rating of Steingraeber & Sohne pianos and the many international prizes they had won.  I e-mailed the manufacturer in Germany and they provided me with the contacts for purchasing a piano here in Southern California.  I was in love with this piano from the very beginning; the tone was sensational!  It is difficult for me to express how much I appreciate this piano.  I am an absolutely happy and proud owner of this great piano!  I was even able to get my high school friend, who is a piano teacher from a remote island in Canada, to come and see this piano.
