Our History 

Oak Valley Piano is a family-owned business with Greg and Cindy Shultz at the helm. Greg has been a piano technician since 1985, graduating with a Piano Technology degree. Cindy works behind the scenes and takes care of all the accounting as well as the rental program and sheet music inventory.

After many years of tuning rental pianos for various piano stores, Greg saw the need to have good quality rentals and decided to start a piano rental business. He began renting pianos in 1996 using his home as a "showroom." In October of 2002 he decided to open his own piano store with more space in upper Yucaipa, California. Shultz Piano remained at this location for over a year-and-a-half before outgrowing the space. It became obvious that a bigger store with better visibility was needed and so Oak Valley Piano was born. 

Oak Valley Piano opened at its new location in July 2004 and now has a beautiful 5,760 square foot facility right off the I-10 Freeway in Yucaipa, California. Here we have a complete selection of new, used and restored pianos available for you to see, hear and play as well as music gifts, accessories, and the Inland Empire's largest selection of print music.

We work hard to find the perfect instrument for you. Visit our store for one of the widest selections of pianos in Southern California. Our customers appreciate an unsurpassed selection of the finest German pianos such as Grotrian, Steingraeber and Sohne, and Sauter as well as vintage rebuilds such as Steinway and Steingraeber & Sohne. For the budget-conscious pianist we offer the moderately priced Kawai from Japan as well as fine pre-owned and completely serviced uprights and grands.

At the heart of Oak Valley Piano is our spacious showroom at 31646 Dunlap Boulevard in Yucaipa, California. Customers can visit our easy-to-find location off the 10 Freeway, at the Yucaipa Boulevard Exit, for a relaxing, stress-free, pleasant shopping experience.

We offer a full range of restoration services from replacing soundboards, to restringing and wood refinishing. Our craftsmen maintain only the highest industry standards. We also offer expert piano moving, tuning, regulating, appraisals, recital space, a Temperature-controlled storage facility and teacher referrals.
